Use off airport car parks for lower priced parking

Because of the demise of duty free when vacating to EU countries which accounted for a high number of travellers travelling through a terminal, all airports searched for other areas to generate more revenue and airport parking was natural target.

Parking at terminal can be very costly especially if you just drive to the airport without booking prior. This is commonly known as the gate price or the turn up rate. Due to the competition that off airport car parks present the majority of airports allow you to book prior which should reduce the price but will still be far more than parking at the airport. If looking for Gatwick hotel parking, airport parking Heathrow or East Midlands airport parking be sure to compare on and of airport prices.

Off site car parks have come a long way since they first started out and are now top class professional outfits adopting top standards in security including granted under the Safer Park Mark Scheme which is an initiative of the Associations of Chief Police Officers aimed at reducing crime and the fear of crime in parking facilities. Apart from high levels of security these car parks operate regular transport to and from the airport.

If a traveller is short of time, parking on site could be the best choice but if time is not of the essence the chepest parking will always be at an off airport car park.

Another main advantage of parking at an off airport car park is that you can avoid having to navigate around a busy airport where many passengers have little or no idea where they are going but have to move at the same speed as other drivers. This is a far less hassle free way of arriving at the airport.
